Claire Necklace
Alexandrite stone on gold filled chain.
Claire has been a fighter since she was conceived. At 16 weeks gestation she was given a 0% chance at life with only days left to live. Claire made it to 20 weeks gestation and the odds increased to 5% chance of survival. At 32 weeks gestation the doctors said that Claire was too little and had no change at life. Claire was safely delivered at 38 weeks gestation at the University of Utah and immediately lifeflighted to Primary Childrens Hospital to have open heart surgery. I fell in love the moment I saw Claire on the sonogram, I was unable to meet Claire until 24 hours after birth but instantly loved her and was in awe with how beautiful she was. Claire was born with Turners Syndrome which is linked to her CHD. Claire’s personality is as bright as the sun and she is our little butterfly. We chose purple to honor Claire since that is a color for Turner’s Syndrome.
We are very passionate about raising awareness during heart month and for other children born with CHD and Turners Syndrome like Claire. We are honored to be able to have a necklace to represent Claire.
