At 19 weeks pregnant we found out our baby girl had a heart defect and markers for Down Syndrome. We immediately knew that the name “Arabelle” on our list was meant to be her name. Arabelle means “yielding to prayer” or “answered prayer,” and “beautiful.” The meaning of her name is constantly a reminder for us to surrender in prayer, as well as a reminder of God’s faithfulness. When beautiful Arabelle Violet arrived she quickly showed us how strong, determined, and resilient she is. Arabelle soared through open heart surgery and recovery at 4 months old. She has been tenaciously accomplishing her milestones with her mama, daddy, and big sister to cheer her on as she works at her own pace. Arabelle has a silly, sweet, and sassy side to her! We love watching our beautiful girl grow and bloom into the unique person God created her to be. Not a day will go by without her knowing how loved and important she is. We are extremely grateful that our precious girl made us a part of the lucky few!
