“When Kaydence was born we were unaware she had a CHD. At 2 months old they discovered a heart murmur and sent us to Primary Childrens. She was diagnosed with a Coarctation of the aorta, a VSD and a small hole in her heart. A few days later she had her first open heart surgery. The first surgery was unsuccessful and a week later she had a second open heart surgery. Having a child with a CHD is both terrifying and miraculous. She is such a strong little warrior and she brings us so much joy and light everyday. She makes us better people with her sweet laughter and spirit!”
