Jaden’s Blessings
When Jaden was born we found out that he had down syndrome as well as a heart defect. We were only 17 and could not imagine at the time, what a strong warrior we had been blessed with. The shield shape of Jaden‘s necklace represents the strength he showed when he battled through his many surgeries.
The blue Sapphire is Jaden’s birthstone. Blue and yellow are the colors that represent down syndrome. Down syndrome is very much a part of the Jaden our family knows and loves.
Our family feels very blessed to have Jaden to experience life with. He has taught us so much about love. Jaden‘s nana always tells him, “I love you to the moon and back” and his grandma sings You Are My Sunshine to him every chance she can get. The first song we sang to him after he was born was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. He has been the brightest star in the darkest of nights to help light our life.
As Jaden has grown we’ve realized he loves life no matter what time of day or night. We wish everyone could experience Jaden’s blessings and see the joys of life through his eyes.
