Arthur’s was born with Down syndrome , we know about his diagnosis since pregnancy . He was born prematurely at 35 weeks , everything was hard nicu stay diagnosis than heart condition . He was born with a VSD , surgery was required at age of 6 months . It was the most difficult time of our lives. But he did great and overcome all of our expectations . So I choose the shield to represent God as our protector , in times of fear and unknown we can trust in him . As a soldier we need to have a shield to protect us from what comes against us .
