Colt Necklace

Colt was born at just 26 weeks gestation. At his birth we were told he had a 20% chance of survival. We honestly had little hope. However, our tiny warrior had big plans. At the time of his birth, we knew he had a heart defect but we didn’t have a definite Down Syndrome diagnosis. It was suspected due to some soft markers and a heart defect, but it wasn’t confirmed until a week after birth. He was so tiny at just 2lbs, but he was a fighter. Earning his name Colt. He was not to be doubted and full of fiery. He has been through stomach surgery and heart surgery, but now he is thriving and growing. He is truly our little miracle.
This necklace was created to represent Colt and all that he has endured. He’s wild like a colt, and the emerald represents the rebirth that Colt gave to our lives. The reality is life is short and can be taken away from us, but we choose to live everyday full of JOY!
