When my youngest daughter, Selah Bea, was a tiny baby I stumbled on a quote about bumblebees. It said that bumblebees shouldn’t be able to fly — their bodies are way too large in proportion to their wings to keep them in the air….but despite this challenge, these tiny animals overcome all odds because they are strong. With Selah’s middle name being Bea and her having a diagnosis of Down syndrome, this really resonated with me. She’s my little bumble bee— buzzing through life and being strong despite challenges laid before her. I thank God every day for her and the deep lessons I have learned by watching her grow and learn.
