Gabbi Necklace

Gabbi was born with multiple forms of Congenital Heart Disease. Her diagnosis consists of: Coarctation of the Aorta (narrowing of the Aorta), Hypoplastic Aortic Arch (blockage in Aortic Arch), 2 Atrial Septal Defect’s-ASD’s (holes in the upper chambers of her heart), a large Ventricular Septal Defect-VSD (a hole between the lower two chambers of her heart) and multiple VSD’s in her muscular septum. Her VSD was so large that she was born with a single ventricle. We were expecting lifelong surgeries when she was born.
Gabbi had Open Heart Surgery at 4 days old and 4 months old. After each surgery, she had many life threatening complications which thankfully, she was able to overcome. In Gabbi’s second surgery, her surgeon and Cardiologist pushed for a full repair when dozens of others in the Department did not believe it was possible. Her surgeon was able to successfully repair her heart during this procedure.

Gabbi’s doctors tell us she is a living miracle and has beaten the odds. She is now a healthy, thriving 2 year old little girl that brings so much light into our lives. We feel so blessed to have our Gabbi with us today.
