”Our sweet Raef Simon came into the world prematurely and was diagnosed post-delivery with Down Syndrome, a Complete AVSD and MCAD Disorder. For weeks I felt the weight of the waves crashing down. Shortly after we got to come home from our NICU stay a sweet friend sent us a gift. And inside it had this quote ‘Anchor to Someone who can Outlast the Storm’ and in that moment I felt calm.

Ever since opening that gift the Holy Spirit has continuously showed up for us with little reminders to find that anchor, and to remember that God’s love not only outlasts the Storm, but it IS the Storm 🌩 We felt this presence the most in the 24 hours leading up to when Raef’s open heart surgery was scheduled, only to be blessed with the news upon hospital admission that part of his heart was healing on its own and surgery was postponed 🙌🏼

So when having the honor to design a necklace for our Raef Simon I wanted a reminder of this…and that vision was brought to life!

Cloud + Clear Quartz Stone

The cloud represents the Storm and inside it the stone, the anchor. This anchor, clear quartz, means healing, which is exactly what God is working through Raef. He has brought a new light and perspective to our lives, and the world needs his joy and love!

I will wear this, and I hope you will too, as a reminder that no matter what’s storms we face, we have bigger love from an almighty God, and he is our anchor to face whatever weight the waves bring 🌊
