Early in our surprise pregnancy we discovered our baby James had markers consistent with Down syndrome and a heart defect. We were surprised yet again when James decided to come into this world 5 weeks early with a perfectly healthy, functioning heart. Then a 5 week NICU stay came our way due to feeding, oxygen levels, blood sugar, and low neutrophil levels during which we watched through the monitors, his perfect heart beat strong every single day. He left the NICU on his expected due date with that perfect heart stronger than ever before. 

This design represents Jamie’s perfect little heart growing in Mom’s along with the 3 copies of his 21st chromosome.
