Jacob is such a special boy! But, I didn’t always know that. When we got our prenatal diagnosis that Jacob would have Down syndrome, and later that he had a heart defect, there was so much fear. But throughout my pregnancy, God confirmed that this was all part of His plan, that He was going to be with us. Jacob’s birthday was so memorable, I felt so much peace; when he came into the world it was a holy moment! Not every moment since has been peaceful or felt holy, but Jacob has brought more snuggles and songs to our family than I could have imagined! The first song he learned how to sing (that he still asks us to sing daily) is shining star/twinkle twinkle little star. Jacob is our little star, he brings smiles, sparkle and light to our family.
