Ian is a happy three-year-old boy! He started preschool in the Olentangy school district in the fall and is thriving. He loves to read books, play outside, run fast and swing as high as he can. He is a superhero fanatic! You would never guess that he was born with a rare congenital heart defect called Pulmonary Atresia (PA/IVS). Ian is no stranger to the healthcare system. He’s grown up at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, undergoing two open heart surgeries, several heart catheterizations, and suffering a stroke; not to mention multiple blood transfusions. Ian is our superhero!
